Located in historic downtown Lewes alongside the canal, the Dogfish Inn is the perfect basecamp for exploring all that coastal Delaware has to offer! With a nearby kayak and boat-launch, a winding bike trail made for our custom Priority Bicycles and some of the most beautiful beaches, our hospitable Innkeepers will personalize each guest’s experience to show that there’s no shortage of adventure right outside the Inn.
The Inn offers 16 modern, yet conveniently styled rooms plus a Cottage Sweet for up to four of your favorite people. Designed by Studio Tack out of Brooklyn, New York, each room is filled with thoughtful amenities like a Dogfish Head blanket created in collaboration with Woolrich, Apolis tote bags to carry your goods to and fro, retro American-made beach chairs, and metal Dogfish coolers. You’ll also find a Tivoli radio and screenprints of beer labels from our music collaborations.
Equipped with a mini-fridge stocked with locally made snacks, we’ve also included an exclusive 32 oz. growler in each room for guests to keep, fill, and bring back from our brewery or brewpub.
For an added coastal touch, local artist Steve Rogers has created a treasure hunt of sorts by painting the historic Lightship Overfalls in 16 different variations for each of the rooms. A National Historic Landmark and one of only 17 lightships remaining, the Lightship Overfalls is docked just a few hundred feet away!
Venture to the back corner of our Cottage lobby and you’ll get lost in our City Light Library. Curated by the fine folks of City Light Booksellers and Publishers, you’ll find everything from literary classics to things that make you go ‘hmmm.’ These books can be checked out by guests and even purchased. We dare you to read Infinite Jest in one sitting…
At night, gather on the patio or around the Cowboy Cauldron for complimentary s’mores while counting shooting stars.
The next morning, grab a cup of our rich Chicory Stout Coffee, roasted by our neighbors right down the street at Notting Hill, and get ready for another day chock full of exploration.
